Rod Building Bobbin Holder

***Please note, these bobbin holders are handmade. There will be some slight variation between each bobbin holder because of that. It will not affect the way they work, but no two will look exactly identical.***

These bobbin holders are designed to fit the clear plastic "Singer" brand Class 15 bobbins for sewing machines. They may fit other sewing machine bobbins, but the plastic Singer Class 15 bobbins are the only ones I will guarantee to fit these bobbin holders. These bobbin holders were designed to be small in size and to hold a bobbin filled with thread for trim/decorative wrap colors you may be using while building a fishing rod. These bobbin holders are not an adjustable tensioning system. You will more than likely want to use your fingers to help control thread tension as you work. They are designed for convenient storage of a fairly large amount of thread in a small area and also to keep the thread from "despooling" while you are working. If you keep tension on the thread as you are working (do not allow any slack as you work), the thread will not come off the spool until you pull more thread out as you are working. The bobbin holder is small enough that it should be able to hang from a rod while you are working without being too difficult to work around. The bobbin holders are approximately 5cm long and 3.5cm wide with the bobbin installed. No bobbins are included with your purchase, only the bobbin holder. Singer Class 15 bobbins can be purchased almost anywhere sewing supplies are sold...for example, my local Walmart store sells them in a package of 4 bobbins for $1.17 at the time I am listing these bobbin holders.
